RECRUITMENT – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below is a list of our most commonly asked questions.
When applying for a vacancy we ask that candidates apply directly via the current vacancies section on our careers page. You will be redirected to JobTrain, our Applicant Tracking System, where you need to complete a brief application form and upload your CV and covering letter if you wish to include one. We request that all questions are answered in detail, in particular your current salary and your salary expectations.
Please apply online via our Current Vacancies page. Your application will be reviewed by a member of the Recruitment Team and the Hiring Manager.
2. Telephone interview
The process begins with a relatively informal telephone interview with a member of the Recruitment Team. We want to find out a bit more about you, your experience and your career aspirations.
You will then be invited to a competency based face-to-face interview. Depending on the role, this may include assessments on the day and several interview stages.
4. Online assessments
If you are successful following the telephone interview, then the process will vary depending on the role. This may involve a number of verbal and numerical online assessments which can be completed at home.
5. The offer
If you are successful and found to be a good fit for the role, we will contact you with an offer of employment.
We always aim to provide feedback over the phone as quickly as possible, regardless of the outcome of your interview.
7. Welcome to Transact!
Ahead of your start date we will send you our welcome pack with all the information you need ahead of your first day. You will then be enrolled in our extensive training program to learn everything you will need for a successful career at Transact!
8. Next steps
If successful, once you have accepted the offer, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening checks. As a regulated firm we carry out a number of fitness and propriety checks to assess your suitability for the role.
We like to ensure that you have enough time to prepare for your interview. As a starting point, we advise that you research Transact by looking into what we do, who we are and what we offer as an organisation. Alongside our website, our Investor Brochure will provide some additional information.
Familiarise yourself with the role you are interviewing for by reading through the job description and any other interview materials provided.
We want to make sure that joining Transact is the right decision for you, so all we ask is that you take the time to do your research, prepare some questions, be honest and be yourself.
We have a Preferred Supplier List in place. When working with new recruitment agencies, Transact’s terms of business must be agreed ahead of any vacancy being released via JobTrain, our Applicant Tracking System. You will receive your personal log in details and an agency briefing pack including relevant information which we expect you to share with the candidates you are submitting. We expect that every candidate has been screened by the consultant that is dealing with the vacancy and that they are fully briefed ahead of the telephone and face to face interview.
