At Transact we realise that many of our clients will face challenging circumstances at some point in their life. These situations can make financial decisions more difficult.

If your accessibility needs change, you are impacted by a health condition or life event, or are facing any other situations or circumstances that affect how you make sound financial decisions, please let us know. That information will help us to provide you with the appropriate level of support.

Examples of situations or circumstances you may wish to tell us about include:

Health conditions

Which may include:

  • physical or mental disability
  • severe or long-term illness (mental or physical)
  • hearing or vision loss
  • memory problems (such as dementia or mild cognitive impairment).
Life events

Such as:

  • retirement
  • bereavement
  • an income shock
  • a relationship breakdown
  • the presence of domestic, financial, or economic abuse
  • caring responsibilities.

For example:

  • erratic or infrequent income
  • being in debt
  • having low savings
  • feeling overwhelmed.

Such as:

  • low confidence managing finances
  • changes to capability, such as reading, writing, and numeracy
  • low digital literacy
  • no use of, or access to the internet
  • English is a secondary language
  • learning difficulties
  • no, or low access to help or support.

Informing your adviser

If you have not informed your financial adviser of changes to your needs or circumstances, we strongly encourage you to do so.
