Staff profile

Why did you join Transact?

I wanted to join Transact due to its reputation within the sector as a growing service focused platform. It sounded like a business that I wanted to be a part of and help to drive forward.

Talk us through your career at Transact so far.

After returning from working for a bank in Australia I joined Transact in 2015 as a Business Analyst within the Operations department.

I have recently been working on projects that span the breadth of the business and involve engagement with stakeholders at all levels. In 2018 the opportunity arose to step up to Senior Business Analyst within the team.

What does your role involve on a day-to-day basis?

I enjoy my role due to the variety of different activities that it encompasses and being able to spend time with different areas of the business. The role focuses on the development of functionality on Transact Online and the back-office system.

A typical day in my role includes managing client relationships, communicating with the development team in Australia and engaging with different stakeholders across the business. I also have to elicit requirements, hold workshops, process map and build business requirements documents.

How would you describe the culture at Transact?

I would describe the Transact culture as relaxed but professional. There is a collaborative environment, which helps foster the high rate of change that we are able to achieve. Both within the Business Analyst team and across the company people are always willing to engage to help effect positive change.

What advice would you give someone joining Transact?

Due to our agile development process you should be prepared to join a fast moving company with the opportunity for progression if earned.
