Adviser Update

Transact and Letters Of Authority

We’ve made a small change to our requirements on client Letters of Authority (LOAs). Previously we have relied on company headed paper to provide us with the necessary details like FCA number and address.

Due to the increase in consolidators with the same name, and potential in errors related to client transfers to similar sounding firms, we would now like you to provide clearer instruction as to who the clients are and where the clients should go. As a minimum we will need:

  • Company headed paper
  • FCA number on the signed LOA
  • Client portfolio number and signature
  • Transact 9-digit reference for the adviser you wish to place the client under. If you do not have one, please call 020 7608 5350 to register with us.

Providing these will help with the smooth transition of clients. If you have any questions, please call Sales & Online Support on the above number.
