Transact Online (TOL) – Recent Enhancements

This month we have made improvements by enabling a full pension crystalisation online, more browser sessions to be open at the same time, and extending the time out when you use TOL.

Pension Drawdown Online

Full pension crystallisation can now be done online without signatures and paper forms. Full crystallisation is the conversion of an accrual wrapper (in full) to drawdown, and payment of maximum tax-free cash (PCLS) to a bank account or GIA.  (Top-ups to other drawdown wrappers are excluded).  You can set up the regular income afterwards via Transactions > Regular Withdrawal. Future iterations will introduce further drawdown options.

Shared Browser Sessions

You can now open other Transact Online pages and reports in new tabs in your browser without logging in again, saving time. This is especially helpful if you use Multi-Factor Authorisation (MFA), which will become compulsory within the next 6 months. You can use incognito mode to log in as different users.

Extended timeout

You have told us that, as frequent users of the Transact website, it is inconvenient being logged out regularly throughout the day (due to inactivity). The great news is that now, if you have set-up and logged into the website with MFA, then you will not receive repeated login requests. We will only ask after 4 hours for another login. MFA is the future and we want to help make it as easy as possible for you to adopt and see the benefits – including, of course, the security benefits.

Tax year-end tips and a document with important tax year-end information are provided on your Transact Online dashboard.
