Why did you join Transact?
I joined Transact in 2008. I wanted to work at Transact because of its reputation and being a well-established company within the UK platform industry.
The opportunities for progression and the culture of the company sounded perfect for me.
Talk us through your career at Transact so far.
I joined Transact in 2008 as a Document Management Administrator.
The Document Management department is responsible for preparing and scanning all incoming and outgoing correspondence to the business.
In 2010 I moved to Sales Support as a Sales Support Administrator.
The Sales Support department is responsible for the setup and registration of new advisers, dealing with commission payment queries, providing assistance to advisers with online processes and queries via Live Chat and Co-browse.
In 2016 I moved and currently work within the Website Development team. My previous role enabled me to build relationships with our online users, identifying their usage, their change requests and how they use the platform. My new role has now allowed me to share those development ideas and bring forward my knowledge of online activity. The role also allows me to help and assist with online development and help maintain Transact’s award-winning platform.
What does your role involve on a day-to-day basis?
Within the Website Development team, my core activities include: testing the online platform when changes are introduced, performing daily online checks, assisting with queries from all areas of the business and assisting in strategic project work. I also help the Sales Support department with any complex Co-browse and Live Chat queries that arise.
How would you describe the culture at Transact?
