The advice technology market is changing rapidly and at Transact, we have spent a lot of time considering the role we should play from an adviser tech point of view. We came to the simple conclusion that our strength is providing accurate data, robust platform services and the secure infrastructure that enables other technology providers to innovate. That's why we continue to invest heavily in the Transact API.

What we've achieved so far

Our API offers:

  • Valuation data

  • Transaction data

  • Remuneration information

  • Account Opening functionality

These services already enable software providers to bring Transact data and processes directly into your adviser workflows - reducing rekeying, improving efficiency and ensuring accurate report writing.

What comes next?

Our aim is to continue expanding the services available through the API to support more adviser journeys. Future developments will include greater support for:

  • Model Portfolio Services (MPS) - coming soon!

  • Contributions and withdrawals

  •  Portfolio servicing activities

  • Account administration

  • Status tracking and workflow updates

  • Document availability and notifications

  • Additional transaction and event data.

We recognise that advisers increasingly want timely information, delivered through the systems they use. Rather than having to continually check for updates, we want adviser technology to be able to surface important events when they occur. For example:

  • A contribution has been received.

  • A withdrawal has been completed.

  • A transfer has arrived.

  • A document has become available.

By making this kind of information available through the Transact API, software providers can build more intelligent workflows, automate routine processes and help ensure advisers have access to relevant information at the right time.

The result should be less administration, fewer missed updates and a smoother experience for both advisers and their clients. The industry is already producing some excellent solutions in areas such as CRMs, AI assistants, workflow tools. You have told us that you need accurate, timely and reliable platform data, together with secure access to the services you use every day. That's where we believe Transact can make the biggest difference.

By continuing to invest in the Transact API, we are creating the foundations that allow software providers, workflow solutions and future AI tools to deliver better experiences for advisers. Our role is to provide the high-quality data and services that power those innovations, helping advisers reduce administration, improve efficiency and focus more of their time on clients.

We understand the industry's direction of travel. Our job is to provide the trusted data and platform services that enable advisers to benefit from it.
