Why did you decide to join Transact?

Having spent five years working locally as a financial administrator, I felt the time was right to spread my wings by moving to the City and broadening my career prospects.

Transact were recruiting for a role that met my skill set at the time, but also provided room to develop.

During the interview everyone seemed friendly and supportive, and it was an environment I could see myself working in.

Talk us through your career at Transact so far.

I started at Transact in June 2014 in the role of a Technical Trainer. I was responsible for delivering training to new and existing employees across all departments.

I then gained a promotion to the role of Technical Training Manager where I was responsible for managing a number of trainers, and I now operate in the capacity of a Training Business Partner.

What does your current role involve on a day-to-day basis?

My current role involves meeting with internal stakeholders to discuss and identify any training needs within their department.

I then work closely with business subject matter experts to create learning solutions for new and existing employees. These are designed to drive performance improvements in line with the development needs of the business unit.

How would you describe the culture at Transact?

Friendly, collaborative and rewarding.

What advice would you give someone joining the business?

Be a sponge! Absorb as much knowledge and experience as you can from all areas of the business.

Do not be afraid to ask questions and challenge the way we do things – this is the reason we are where we are today!
